PSI recognizes the challenges inherent in selecting, developing, and implementing technology solutions. While competent technical expertise seems to be available in abundance, technically superior suppliers that truly understand the intricacies of your business and also possess the management discipline to ensure success are in short supply.
PSI provides a variety of technology services to a broad spectrum of federal, state, and local government clients. Through the years we have earned a reputation for innovation, consistency, and quality – ultimately resulting in an outstanding legacy of customer satisfaction. Our mature management methods feature repeatable processes and have earned independent, formal assessment at the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 and ISO 20000.
PSI provides software development, maintenance, enhancement, and implementation support services. We have developed some of the most sophisticated web-based and mobile applications which have received industry accolades and recognition. Our applications have received worldwide patents for the company. We are experienced with the latest development tools and methodologies, as well as those used to develop and support legacy systems.
Our project management processes conform to the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI’s) Software Capability Maturity Model (SW-CMM). Our CMM-compliant management practices ensure high levels of consistency and quality. PSI is one of fewer than 2,000 organizations worldwide to have been independently assessed at CMMI Level 3.
PSI provides logical and physical database and system design, development, implementation, verification, security, management, and administration in mainframe and distributed processing environments. Whether you deal with paper or electronic files, we can help you improve the methods you use to store, retrieve, and exchange information. We can help you evaluate the information exchanged and the processes used to do so. We examine what information is processed, how it is processed, and who is involved in the process. These studies include requirements analyses, workload forecasts, and workflow mapping. Once the processes are fully understood, we can help you understand and implement the technology and process-based solutions to fit your situation.
One example of our records management services is our work at the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. There, PSI managed the Document Control Center and over four linear miles of regulatory records. We helped to plan, define, test, and implement a system utilizing wireless handheld barcode scanners for point-to-point tracking of several millions regulatory documents.
PSI provides analysis, development, operations, and maintenance of flight simulation facilities. We support ground-based simulators, in-flight simulators, and integration laboratories.
We are proud of our work at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) where we support NASA’s Flight Simulation Laboratories. The Flight Simulation Laboratories are unique national research and development facilities dedicated to providing researchers with high-fidelity environments in which to conduct simulated flight research and advance state-of-the art simulation technology. The laboratories include the Differential Maneuvering Simulator, the General Purpose Fighter Simulator, the Visual Motion Simulator, the General Aviation Simulator, and the Cockpit Motion Facility.
PSI ensures the fidelity, integrity, and quality of the simulators and integration laboratories operations. We prepare and maintain the plans to coordinate operations and ensure maximum facility availability.
